Instead of:
• some analysis and reaction, often connected to retelling
• some supporting details, reasons, and explanations (e.g., how student felt)
We came up with:
• I used some of my own ideas.
• I included my opinions, experiences, and feelings with some supporting details.
Our next step will be looking at student writing exemplars and discussing the strengths and challenges. That will help us develop a better understanding of what we can personally focus on to improve our own writing.
