This week we were eager to make revisions to our Science insulating chambers this week so as soon as those revisions were made, we began Trial #2. Trial #2 however didn’t go as expected. Even though we made revisions that (we predicted) would prevent the ice from melting, in actual fact, our ice melted more than it did in our first trial. We observed holes in the centre of the ice cube and wondered if perhaps the ice hadn’t frozen solid prior to starting our experiment. That led us to trial #3. We took our plans from trial #2 and gave it a second shot, this time getting the results that we expected. It now made sense why scientists run multiple trials in an experiment!
We then got to choose an animal and produce our own art using a step-by-step printmaking process. We loved it!
